What Amplifier Would be the Best for My Subwoofers??
I have 2 12" Alpine Type R SWR-1242D DVC subwoofers (500w rms). What would be your suggestions for the best amplifier to match my subwoofers. I have 0 to spend. Anything would help! Also, I would like an amp that will require the least to no upgrades to my stock vehicle electrical system.

get a 800 to 1000 watt amp. try best buy they carry alpine
well pushing 1000 rms out of an amp and getting the full power to it from ur alternator could be a problem with a older car..but not too big a deal…u might have to upgrade the big 3 in ur car and u should be fine….but if u want to push the subs to there potential, then u need a 1000 rms amp….id go with mtx audio thunder TA7801 amp…they have them on ebay and at sonic electronixs and after shipping it will be less than 300 dollars and the amps r very high quality…….that amp will push at least 1200 rms so turn ur settings down and gradually trurn them up so u dont blow ur subs…or if u find a amp u prefer that has 1000 rms,,u will be fine…i hope u already have a good enclosure met to the subs specs…that way u will get the best performance out of the subs…good luck
sundown saz-1500D would push it perfect it says only 800 rms at 2 ohm but its way underrated i hit higher in spl then with a cea compliant amp rated at 1100 at 2 ohms
